Dominican pupils have returned from their most successful feis na nGleann this weekend having been crowned the most successful overall team at the various competitions held throughout the glens of Antrim on Saturday.

The younger group of pupils, Eve Adams, Daire Breen and Caitlin Porter, three girls from Year Nine, were each awarded the Bronze Award for “cupla focal” based on their confidence and ability in taking part in an oral.

The Year Ten boys’ team consisting of Owen Tohill, Michael Tasker-Lynch and Nathan Stockman were presented with the Silver Award for their proficiency in the language. Owen was also awarded a prestigious half scholarship to Irish College this summer and Michael and Nathan will each share a half scholarship.
