Nuair a cuireadh Feis na nGleann ar bun i 1904,is docha nar chreid daoine go mbeadh sí ag dul ar aghaidh inniú céad is deich mbliain níos fuide anon. Is cinnte nar chreid Bairbre Nic Dónaill, Uachtarán na Feise ,mar chain sí easpa eagraíochta.Cibé ar bith maireann an Fheis mar go bhfuil pobal na háite sasta comh oibriú le lucht na Feise.
When Feis na nGleann was established in 1904 it is likely that few believed it would still be taking place one hundred and ten years later. Certainly the first President of the Feis, Barbara McDonnell, did not think so as in her opinion the first Feis succeeded more by good luck than good guidance as she criticised the poor standard of organisation. Be that as it may it survives to- day due to the dedication of the local people in various Feis venues, who willingly give of their time to preserve and promote the range of Gaelic traditions espoused by the founders of Feis na nGleann .North Antrim plays an invaluable role in organising the Gaelic games.
This year again Cumann Oisín Glenariff has welcomed the Feis to their grounds A group of Armagh Pipers will join in the celebration to recall the role played by the Armagh Pipers in leading the procession of the clans and Glens as it made its way from Cushendall Curfew Tower to the field at Waterfoot.
It is with sadness that we recall the recent deaths of two loyal Feis workers who will be sadly missed Maryrose Forsythe, who died just a month ago, worked for years in promoting and organising the Art and Craft section .Fr Alex McMullan died just a few days later and in his passing the Feis has lost a dedicated and supportive President
